In 1997, Penguin Specialty Products came into existence with the introduction of its inaugural creation, Sk8tape®. The minds behind this venture, Charles Sinek and Beata Handra, both accomplished figure skaters, conceived Sk8tape® with the dual purpose of safeguarding their skating boots during intense training sessions and ensuring their skates sparkled brilliantly during competitions. What started as a personal initiative to prolong the life of their well-worn boots quickly transformed into a versatile product that discreetly shields leather, serves as a polish substitute, fastens laces securely, and is suitable for both practice and competitive use.
Our task
